The New Year’s Resolution!
In theory, it sounds great. A new year, a new beginning. We resolve to do things better, differently, faster, or whatever. It lasts for…well…a week or three. And then it’s back to business as usual. Some habits are harder to change, and that’s why developing a good habit is really worth the struggle; once you’re used to making your bed each morning, or going for an evening walk, or flossing, you don’t have to exert much self-control to keep it up.
My resolution is to anticipate instead of procrastinate. It’s not easy, but I’m sticking to it. I’m tired of drifting and ready for something new!
Here’s to a BRILLIANT new year!

The 2019 Cupcake Inspirations challenges start today and Sparkle and Sprinkle is our first sponsor of the year!

This theme challenge is the perfect way to start off 2019!

I used the Sparkle and Sprinkle Light Up My Life digital stamp set to create my card. I printed on white card stock, traced with a Perfect Pearls pen and heat embossed with copper foil embossing powder. Then, I colored the images with Mustard Seed Distress Ink and a finger dauber. I edged the card stock with the pen and embossing powder as well for a finished look. I liked the look of the curly q filaments around the digital image, so I recreated them with copper colored Fun Wire. I added some foam tape to the back of the elements for dimension. (Supplies used will be listed at the end of this post.)

It is freeing! My only issue with my resolution is that I work better under pressure (or maybe I like to fool myself into thinking that!😜) . The more time I spend on planning, the more elaborate my projects get. Each one is becoming a personal challenge. I think I needed that little push!

Thanks! It’s something I need to work on anyway, so why not make it a resolution. So, now that I have announced it to the world I guess I better stick to it!
