Welcome to my stop on the Falling for Handmade Paper Blog Hop!
Today we have a dozen talented bloggers sharing projects featuring handmade paper paired with Club Scrap’s Falling Leaves collection. Click HERE for a full list of bloggers. Be sure to leave a comment on every participating blog to be entered into a random drawing for a prize! There will be two lucky recipients: One will receive an Arnold Grummer Complete Papermaking Kit, and the other a Club Scrap Falling Leaves kit with stamps. (Only comments posted between 9/21 and 9/28/19 will be eligible for the random drawing.)
This was my first time making handmade paper and it was soooo easy using the Arnold Grummer Papermill.
I “binge watched” the tutorials on the Arnold Grummer YouTube channel and was fascinated with all the different techniques. I was especially interested in adding botanicals and surface embedment! Part of our supplies included the Arnold Grummer Papermill and two Garden Presses. I cut some flowers and leaves from the garden behind my office and pressed them using the Garden Press. I LOVE how they turned out!
I decided to use the leaves to complement the blog theme. I am saving the flowers for another project 😉.
Club Scrap’s monthly kits come with matching photo mats and I used them to make the paper pulp. The colors turned out beautiful! I blended the paper pieces with water just long enough to make the pulp and leaving some larger chunks for pops of color. I also added some of the Arnold Grummer Brilliants for a little sparkle!
Club Scrap’s Digital Idea Decks come in handy when I need a little creative inspiration. This set of cards was created using the 8 of ♦ formula from the Idea Deck 5. I specifically chose this formula to feature the stamp set and masking stencil from the Falling Leaves kit. The gold embossing and ink spray really creates a punch!
The leaf outline stamps and sentiment were inked with Versamark Ink and dusted with gold embossing powder. The images were heat set and the panels were attached with foam tape for extra dimension. Check out the sparkly gold flecks and red bits of pulp embedded in the handmade paper!
I used the masking stencil sprayed with Antique Gold Nuvo Mica Mist on red card stock from the Falling Leaves kit. The handmade paper was stamped with a sentiment from the matching unmounted stamps and embellished with leaf charms included with the kit.
I liked the effect of the masking stencil and gold spray so much I just had to add it to this panel as well! The handmade paper panel was stamped with another sentiment from the Falling Leaves kit and I added a bow using coordinating ribbon from the kit.
This one is my favorite! I stamped the tree image and inked the edges of the card with Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I added the rest of the gold leaf charms and a tiny sentiment from the kit. I think it’s just gorgeous!
There’s lots of handmade goodness left to see…Becky Conley is the next stop on the hop! Thank you so much for stopping by AND don’t forget to leave a comment on each blog for your chance to win!
